The Big Chill was off to an 'amazing' start as over 125 racers in both the 'sport' course and 'adventure' course ran through the historic Texas town of Bastrop looking for clues buried in newspapers, eating bugs and searching for new buildings with pictures from the past. Teams then made their way to the river to begin their 6 mile paddle for the sport course and their 21 mile paddle for the adventure course!

Teams racing in the 4 person coed elite division will earn Series points based on their final ranking and be awarded prizes from Series' sponsors Inov-8, Numa Sport Optics and nuun.
